i rum ms ( on vista) and its on the first start screen wen it says start and tells u new iteams all it shows is the start button and say wen i got task maneger not reading plz pl,z plz help

ok i double click maplestory and a white screen comes up not covering the whole screen and the start button wth the mushroom is the only thing that shows up so i put up task maneger and it says its not reading?
