Believing in Santa Claus, The Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny? Because well when your parents finally tell you that there not real then some people kind of feel the same way about god. Do you think there would be less athiests in the world if Santa Claus, The Tooth Fairy and the Easter Bunny etc.. didn't exist? or if parents were more straight up about them not being real from childhood?

VMIT : are you serious? it was really something along those lines. my parents didn`t know what the easter bunny was but i kinda guessed on that.

"God" doesn't accept me, therefore I don't accept him.

HolyMythosFalician : "God" doesn't accept me, therefore I don't accept him. I like this reasoning.

Falician : "God" doesn't accept me, therefore I don't accept him. Another Same as me. If I'm 'made in God's image' Then why am I labeled as one to Go to Hell for being myself? I'd much Rather have Faith in Nothing, As that's Much more Believable then this 'God' fellow.

Find me a fat man and a woman who can travel at like Mach 5 without getting killed, then find me a rabbit that can paint eggs.

ah well the true reason I am atheist is because I never grew up with anything religious my parents neither said "god exists" nor "god doesn't exist" so I never realy got a hang-on and when I asked them about god they were like "meh I don't know" @Persephone: ah alrighty then
