My theory on meso bags

I'm pretty sure we all know if someone prints money, the value of it goes down. Sooo, I have a feeling the mesos from the meso bags comes from the money we lose due to taxes and when Nexon runs out of mesos to put in the meso bags, they take them out of the cash shop until they can gather more mesos.

Kaojiru : It's to control the economy. If there was no taxes at all, with time, everyone could have max mesos. nope if there was no tax teh rich people would have multiple accounts of 2.1bill mesos while the poor have 1% more money cause thats the rate thats been taken from them

it is true that nexon has the ability to generate countless mesos, but i think he comparing it to the real world where the larger number of dollars there are, the amount that the dollar is worth goes down.

He is actually right. Yes, nexon is a game, and yes, they can create as much mesos as they want, but realistically, they won't. He is right in a sense that inflation will occur. Just like in our economy, if the government prints out too much money, the value of the dollar decreases. Same rule applies here.

Nexon doesn't "create" mesos. It's not like they say "okay, we're going to add 500 million mesos to the economy today." There are an endless amount of mesos from drops and NPCs because all that it actually takes on the server is a 32 bit integer to hold max mesos for any individual character. It doesn't MATTER how many mesos the game spits out from monsters and the like.

There is already an infinite amount of mesos in Maple. Monsters will infinitely spawn, and they will infinitely give mesos when they die.

Even if there were taxes... there are still people with max mesos. It's not hard to work around. I still think the tax is stupid. It just makes calculating your profit more complicated. There's no big difference. The amount tax takes from your gain is so insignificant, that it wouldn't anything, really. Poor people would still be poor, and rich people will still be rich. There are people that know how to manipulate the game (and I don't mean hacks) and there are people that don't. There's not much you can do to change that.

my theory is meso shouldn't be bought unless its from nexon so now drugs shouldn't be bought from anyone but the government? seems pretty stupid to me why they would even have it in the CS the price for 10m is pretty bad. and to answer your question on why the US can't print 200b out in one day just because we can. 1. we are people not morons 2. Money is backed up and will always be backed up or else it would have no value 3. we the USA is governed by fiat money which basically means the government says our money is worth something anyone says elsewise will die? 4. America has nothing to back our moneys value. 5. which is why its starting to become less and less in value yearly 6. your stupid you know how many trees that would kill?
