Well today my mom gave me here laptop bc she never uses it and my is relay beat up(even tho I love the little bugger). So I start puting all my crap on this new laptop and when I try to download MS it says its gonna take like 114 hours. So I said screw it and just imported the MS files from my old laptop to this new one... so then when I try to start up maple this message pops up saying "This program is not compateble with this version of windows". Now this new laptop is vistas and my old one is XP. So my point is if I download it from the Nexon website will I be able to play MS on this new laptop? P.S. I have already started downloading it. 64% and one hour to go!

right click go to properties click the compatability tab and choose run with windows xp service pack 2 apply gogogogo

I tried running MS in compatability mode, it says that people who run it like that are usually people with ill intentions. In other words, they think you're hacking.

You shouldn't run vista on laptops first of all. The same thing happens to me, i just press run program when that alert pops up and it works.

ya vista is really weird. like i have to shut down my computer by pressing and holding the power button or else it never turns off.... it just says Shutting down... loading sign...

Just tell it to run maple anyways, it still works. Compatability mode does not work.

I have vista, and vista is not the problem. When it pops up asking to run anyways, just click don't ask again or whatever and click run anyways. There problem solved

What confusing things you have to do? o.O If it involve playing maple, the only thing I have to do is click on the icon, hit play, and wait for it to load up to the start screen. Simple. Actually, there was one thing that was different from my XP. There was a window that said it has known problems with Vista. Well, I just "check off don't show me this again" and never seen it since. Honestly, there's a few things different from Vista and XP, but for the most part, I don't noticed much difference between the two to the point that it would bothered me. edit: Novamero : You shouldn't run vista on laptops first of all. Why's that? My mom has Vista on her laptop, and she has no problem with it whatsoever. Not to mentioned that MOST desktops/laptops nowadays has Vista on it anyways.
