A letter from Nexon; should I be concerned?

First off I`d like to point out that I do NOT have the best temper and I get angry very easily. A few days ago, one of my accounts was banned for 30 days, for vulgar language. I have NO idea what I could have said, as I only talk in buddy chat and whisper. I have not used a megaphone of any kind since December. Infuriated, I logged a ticket to Nexon, bluffing, saying I`d sue them for banning my account for no reason. I had a 2x EXP coupon and other things that would expire that month, before I got banned, and I`m not the kind of person who goes out and buys a ton of NX, so I was not willing to re-buy everything that would expire. Well I checked my ticket today to find a response. Long story short, they said they take threats seriously and that they would have a lawyer contact me ASAP. Well I freaked out, because I`m not willing to get into a lot of drama over 20 bucks. I did not nor have I responded to them. However, I found out my account was released early. WHY is this? And should I be concerned that Nexon is going to take legal action against me? Were they trying to scare me? If so, are they even allowed to do that? I don`t understand why my account was unbanned early. Should I assume that everything is peachy now, or should I prepare in case they DO take legal action against me?

Bluffing about sueing them is the stupidest thing you can do. You know whats on "top-to-do" of every single company thats created? Get a bunch of lawyers, and if the company cant really afford them, at least get some deal with an agency or something, so they could hire some. I dont really know what to do on your place, but I'm sure they are not afraid of sueing you or anything, they are just a massive company that has the things. In the history, I've never seen that the players who really did (if any gamer even did) sue the company for false ban would win. Also, what do you think the judge would say if the problem got higher? Earning you 50 mil dollars because they banned you for 1 month? I dont think so. Have a nice day, hope I didnt act bad somehow.

I'd say they're just throwing back at you what you gave them, and it's probably just an empty threat against an empty threat (because I bet 20% of those banned try to pull the lawsuit card, and I doubt they'd really take the time to seriously answer them all). I'd do that in a heartbeat if I was an employee (which is why I've never held a position of power like that in my life).

I say you deserve it for being a thickheaded moron. NEVER GET ANGRY WITH THE CORPORATION WHO HAS TOTAL CONTROL OVER YOUR GAMING ACCOUNT! So what if you were mad, on your period, whatever, they even tell you they have rights to do whatever they WANT with your account. You threaten to sue them, they can really sue you for going against the Terms of Service nd End User License Agreement. If you don't believe me, just ask the creator of 0dinMS about his confrontation with a Neoxn-sent lawyer.

I can't understand you going off in the first place. If something like this happens to me, I take my time to calm down, go take a smoke and then come back and try to make up something smart, not threatening and flaming. I've got myself into troubles many many times for being too hasty. That's why I take my time. And no, they're not gonna sue you, there's no point. I think they're just annoyed by so many people threatening to sue them or blow their HQ up. You say you'll sue them, they throw it right back at you. It shut you up, so it works, why wouldn't they use it then? Nevertheless I do not recommend sending more tix to them telling that you'll REALLY gonna sue them or whatnot. Just leave it be.

Empty threats, considering parents know about Maplestory, how would the headlines look if their kid plays a game that sues a little kid? Not good. Nexon makes empty threats, and everyone threatens to sue once in their life, so the court would probably decide that Nexon was being idiots.

They haven't even sued any of the hacking sites, only just shut them down. I think you're safe, as Nexon would try to target hackers, and they haven't even fully done that.
