When i play maple it runs a bit slow on the screen, like it skips frames and i don't get to enjoy a smooth animation. What's the cause of it? is it internet connection? or Ram? or graphics card? or maybe it's cuz i get buncha crap in my pc and i need to format it(not saying that I do,just bringing up ideas xD)? I have not much wit when it comes to this part of computers so I have no absolutly no idea what i should update or upgrade to enjoy the game more. Much appretiation to you helpers! EDIT: Something that popped into my mind and i think i should mention it: Maple works more smoothly in places with less details, and noo other players in it. Like the elevator from KFC to Ludi,or the library, these places run smoothly on my screen, while places like leafre and CWK run terrible graphicly

your internet could affect your fps, not sure about that. i doubt it though. i read somewhere ram only adds 3-4 FPS in minor places that aren't noticeable, and yes. your graphics card affects it.. alot.

It's not your internet connection, probably not too low ram either. unless you got only like 512 mb. It's most likely a bad processor, bad graphics card or just too many programs running at the same time. EDIT:also dont listen to the guy above me,if he thinks that internet connection would affect your fps the rest of what he typed is all wrong aswell.

I think i do have 512mb RAM though, could it be the problem? or is it my graphics card? cuz I suspect its a crap one, but its on board...so is there any way i could replace it without having to change the whole mother board? Thanks!

In games, it's GPU > CPU > RAM. FPS lag and connection lag are different. Connection lag is like when you used a HP pot and it takes like 10 seconds later to heal. mightyme : ok, I took internet connection off the list and also it can't be running too many porgrams at the same time, cuz i never do that when i play maple. Thanks! In this case, RAM could be an issue, as Maple could used up to 500mb of RAM. When I did a test on it for this thread the other day at the FM entrance, it spiked up to 420 MB-ish (but when I'm in town, it was 250mb). This is only maple only, btw, so I didn't include the OS and the other programs in the background. Hmm, there are IGP that can run MS without lag. The 6000m/7000m series IGP from nVidia has known issues with FPS lag, btw.

DANTE20XXqwan456 : In games, it's GPU > CPU > RAM . GPU is hardly the factor in a game as "extremely graphically intense" as maple. CPU and RAM are more important for this game.

Maple isn't as GPU dependant as other games, CPU can probably be just as important because MS can be like completely CPU bound without problems. I've heard of people running MS fine with like a 6150SE because the CPU was good enough.

I kinda lost you at IGP though...what is it? >_>

BAD processor I have a 256 mb graphics card, but my processor got messed, so i get a low FPS.

Yeah, I know...MS isn't that taxing of an game. xD When I was thinking about games in general at the time. lol mightyme : That explains alot..I think my problem here is both my graphics card and Ram then. j0oce : i said i wasn't sure about it, genious. lol...you mean "genius". Anyways, I have this problem sometimes but it doesn't seem to be as bad as your case. I have a decent processor but not much RAM, so I think it could be that. Also, I sometimes have connection lag, where it takes 10 seconds to repot, etc. Anyone have any tips for this?

Wait guys,i checked properties of My computer and in the General tab under "Computer" it says: Pentium(R)4 CPU 2.00GHz RAM 992MB,2.00GHz Translate into English please? :O Oh and it seems my graphics card is: S3 Graphics ProsavageDDR is it a good or bad one?

LowWillpower : Maple isn't as GPU dependant as other games Telling us that seemed unnecessary. I'm just kidding, keep talking.
