Cold Beam or Slow?

Hi I`m lvl 45 I/L wizard and at that moment i have maxed Thunderbolt, lvl 1 TP, 4 MPEater and 11 Meditation. And I don't know what to do now. Max Slow or Cold Beam. Plox help meh :D Sowwie for grammar!

If you're going to drop a skill in 2nd job for slow, it would have to be MP Eater. It's probably the most useless skill to max, and 3 is already enough. You can still max it now, but don't max slow then, and max it in 3rd job.

LovePinkBerry : So Im going to max Cold Beam but what skill is more useful: Slow or Mp Eater? Slow. You won't be using it until 3rd job though. MP Eater would be fine at 3. The only time it's useful is at CWK. Level 3 MPE will still owrk well though.

VietDreamer : it adds up, stop saying mp eater is useless, i use about 20% less pots with mp eater during low levels, i actually recorded it :P well it's more useful than either attacking skills you get in 3rd job, i suggest you to skip both First of all, if you're not stupid, you max it last, meaning you get the least of that effectiveness at 2nd job. Second, by the time you DO max it, assuming you DO max it last, you will already be level 70. Which gives you a total of 5 levels to use it at its full potential before the training spots deem it completely obsolete, or if you go to birks, probably 1-3 (for me it was ZERO because I LMPQ'd all of 70 and MPQ'd 71 and 72). 5 levels of such would've saved me about 500k-1m, depending on what I did (in my case, would've been 300k or so in those 5 levels of 70-74 due to MPQ and lack of being hit at Birks), which I then could still make rather easily.

nah i'm one of the old school mages i get it in my early 60 before teleport, so it actually save me potions, during early level......still at high level it drains a lil by lil mp it adds up, unlike the attacking skills which almost never use in training and soon get replaced by a way sexier skill imo :P and you should know doing something different does not make me stupid, no need for harsh words, people have their own way of doing things, some more efficient than another but i dont really care, afterall do whatever and enjoy your own game, just saying that mp eater does help >:O

In the end Cold Beam MAX (good for 1 on 1) MP Eater MAX (just good) Tele MAX (good for traveling) Med MAX (a powerup doesnt hurt) Lightning MAX (good for CPQ) slow kind of useless since u r going to freeze the monster. and u wont be fighting monsters that dont freeze on a normal base but i am a weird one and maxed slow but no lightning (there was no CPQ in my times (2005 ~ 2006))

i find the only training place that i ever slow is hime, slow is more of bossing, which you wont do much

You should most definitely max Cold Beam for sure. If you ever get an Ice-based Elemental wand and staff, you'll see that maxed Cold Beam overall hits more damage than maxed Composition (the only other ice-based freezing solo attack you'll ever get in 3rd job). Which makes Cold Beam the most efficient freezing solo attack you'll ever have. Slow is useful as well, but not exactly necessary.
