I've downloaded Joy2Key, and I was wondering why it doesn't work when I start up MS. I've already set up the buttons. What do I do?

Have you tested to see if it is working elsewhere? Open up Notepad, and press a few buttons on the joypad. See if anything is typed out.

I know this is a stupid question, but did you close the Joy2Key window? Ok, well, my only suggestion is to test it on Notepad or something, and that's already been mentioned...

xxpowerxx1qz : Isn't Joy2Key bannable.....? If that's true then I'm screwed. It probably isn't, because of all the "random" bannings lately, Joy2Key hasn't been a reason for any, as far as I know.

GreasedCat : Nothing is typed in when I press the buttons on the controller. Can't say I can be much help. =/ Normally, if it's not working in something like Notepad, your controller hasn't been set. Is there a .cfg file in the J2K folder (or near it)? Also, does Windows even see your joypad in the first place? Check Control Panel>Game Controllers.

Run your controller configuration to see which buttons are what. To get there, click on start > control panel > game controller > properties. If you already know about that, try calibrating it too.

Joy2Key is bannable because it gives you an advantage over other maplers. This was a big discussion a while back and this is the outcome. D:
