Capping STR on a Sair?

Hey, I just started leveling a gunslinger out of boredom. Not exactly sure if I'll push it all the way to Sair or not, but just in case I wanna make sure I'm doing his stats and skills right. So I'm wondering where a reasonable place to cap STR is. I mean, you can't get STR on shoes or earrings, so I know the cap won't be as low as on my Bucc. Also, you can add STR to an overall, but it seems easier to just add the points to STR and get a DEX overall since they're cheaper. Also, keep in mind that if I DO get this char to 4th job, I will want to be using a reverse weapon, so 120 STR is my goal.

Well I just want to say, it's cheaper to scroll a Str Overall than it is a Dex one in Broa. To Corsair, I've scrolled 3 Str Overalls, all of which had 22+ Str and it cost me only 40mil to do so for each. If you wanted to scroll a Dex one, for a 22+ Dex one, it would cost over 70mil. Considering you only used 60%s. I know you'll probably just buy a Dex overall, but who knows. Scrolling is usually cheaper anyways. The Str cap depends on how much money you want to pour into your character. Since you didn't state a budget or anything, I'll assume you'll just have 50mil or so, since that's around the average that most people have. With this much money, you could probably pass by with a Base of 60-70 Str. I know for sure, if you put in around 200mil for just equips, not counting the Gun, you could have a 50 Base with around 110 Str. It's not that hard to get Str equips nowadays with Maker skill. You wouldn't lose any damage either. With around 300mil, I have a base of 40 and a total of 116. I just need to hammer my PAC and I'll be able to use a Reverse Gun.

Thanks for the info. Could you tell me where you're getting your Str from and whether or not you're using an HT pendant. I know you can get Str from a zhelm, pendant, overall and cape, but that doesn't quite add up to 50-60 without using an HT pendant, which I would rather not use because I don't see me ever getting a +3 one.

It depends on your funding, my base STR is 45 and I have +35 STR in equips so I can wear my infinitys wrath until I get a 95+ gun

i got 23 base str with a lvl 80 gun... it kinda depends on ur funds what overall/gun u can get... if u can get a good scrolled dex overall u'll want a higher str then mine (since im using 28 str 8 dex overall) u can get a godly ass lvl 80 gun that can pwn any concerto or peacemaker.. its always about funds

Keep it low until you have your overall is all I have to say. After looking through the FM, for some reason most of the pirate overalls I see pre-scrolled are done with STR and not dex. Also I wouldn't recommend getting a STR cape, at least if you plan to make/ play around on other charcters anyway. Keeping as many equips as you can in dex is always helpful because all non-mages use it (unlike STR).
