Hello there. You'll have to forgive me for bringing up an old issue, but I've just returned to Maplestory from a mandatory hiatus. Upon my return, I went into the MTS to try and make some quick cash...and I couldn't believe my eyes. I tried to sell something for 500 NX, and the tax rocketed it up to over 1k. I can take a loss; how about 300? It's now 800. Even the bare minimum of 110 skyrockets to 600. It might just be me, but I can't understand Nexon's warped logic. How is this going to cut down on people using the MTS as storage and MTS merchants? Instead, it's having a negative effect for people who sell things under 5,000 NX. Most Maplers get NX through MTS micro-transactions; that is, items that don't more than a few hundred NX. To adjust, they'll have to sell anything under 1,000 NX close to the bare minimum; and at that, it's 1/6th of the profit. What is your opinion on the matter?

It did help to sell stuff with the old tax right before the change though. Like I was trying to sell my 2 int Black Bandana for the longest time. Once the tax changed, it sold fast, same profit for me. But now.. I can't make decent NX selling stuff worth less than 15k NX. Good thing I have a couple godly scrolled items that'll last me about a 2 months.

its cause, people where abusing the wanted section as a world item transfer by using 110 nx total with increase in tax, it discourages players from transfering items world to world because it costs a total of 617 e.g. your main puts a wanted for an item for minimal your other account on another world puts it on offer for your main go back on main and take it transfer done although i dont like the tax increase either, it does prevent people from abusing this

I miss when MTS had NO tax at all... i would xfer stuff from bera to my friend that moved to mardia and he would pay me back. we wouldnt lose any NX cuz there was no tax. mts sucks now... nexon gets worse every time..

Instead of doing it the easier way and just getting rid of the tax and disabling trades between worlds.... Greedy bastards.

They put tax on trades to get excess mesos out or something, I sort of get that. But putting tax in MTS to take away our NX? That is ridiculous, we payed money for that NX and games shouldn't make you spend 3x as much as the asking price on an item. The MTS tax is just another money making scheme from Nexon, our favourite company to hate.
