I'm seriously wondering why since most seem to enjoy it (opinion) and the worst thing that I can define out of it is that it can be classified as bandwagoning. However, I want to hear your reason. Please voice your opinion below. Any comment will do.

mainstream = overplayed = annoying = hard to listen to i mean the fact that its mainstream makes it overplayed. overplaying a good song makes it annoying.

DanAikido : The first time I heard a real song I started realizing how horrible mainstream is. People have linked 'Real Songs' here before, and I pretty much don't like any of them >_<

I don't hate mainstream because it's mainstream. I hate it because it's horrible music in my opinion. It doesn't fill my musical needs.

aznseal : I don't hate songs because they're mainstream. I hate them because they suck. QFT. Lil wayne is mainstream, but he sucks at rapping and therefore, i hate him. Tupac is mainstream, but his songs have so much depth and therefore, i respect him. Don't hate just to feel special.

You listen to any song too much, and you'll lose the feeling you had for it when you first listened to it. I loved Justice's D.A.N.C.E., but then I listened to it way too much, and now it's just a moldy sound.

PiN0ySiN : thats my point. the fact that a song is mainstream means its overplayed. Yes, but for some people who don't listen to mainstream, it should be a regular song to them. Mainstream is music played on the radio station based on it's ratings.
