ok i got a riddle for you guys so 3 guys go to a hotel to get a room. the room is 30 dollars for 1 night, so the 3 guys pay 10 dollars each because the room is 30 bucks. so the 3 guys go up to there room when the bellboy forgets that the room is acutally 25 dollars. so he decides to go up to the room to give them the 5 dollars back, but on the way the bellboy keeps 2 dollars tip just because he wants it lol. so now theres 3 dollars left, he gives each person 1 dollar so now the 3 guys payed 9 dollars each. but 9x3=27 plus 2 dollars = 29? wheres there extra dollar? no answers like he stuck it up his butt serious answers plsss

Dude, they paid $25 dollars for the room and $2 for the tip. They get $3 back. $25+$2+$3=$30. You mixed up the tip and the returned money.

You can look at it this way: First, when the cost was $30, Hotel got $30 and the bellhop got $0. Then the Hotel decided to give a $5 discount. So, because the bellhop thought it would be easier, took $2 and $3 went back to the three men. Now the cost is $27 where Hotel got $25 and the bellhop got $2. win?

Easy, you subtract the three dollars from 30 to get 27...and from 27, you subtract 2 more (which the bellboy took)...for $25

nonono first they payed 30 dollars then later the bellboy found out the room was only 25. so then theres 5 dollars he has to return, so he keeps 2 dollars for tip then he give each person 1 dollar cuz theres 3 dollars and 3 ppl. so now each person payed 9 dollars. 9 the money they payed multiplied by 3 ( the 3 guys ) is 27, plus the 2 dollar tip is 29 but they payed 30 to start with so there is a extra dollar. but where is it? and there is a way

Actually, since the price of the room is $25, each man paid $8.33, not $9. So the 3 men paid $8.33(3x8.33=24.99), and then each man gets 1 dollar(1x3=3), then the bellboy takes 2(1x2=2). So 24.99+3+2=29.99, there is not extra dollar, just a simple extra cent from rounding. EDIT: I've known this riddle forever, and this is the right answer.

its actually 9*3-2 rather than +2, therefore equaling 25 dollars. They paid 25 after you calculate the -5 from the 30.
