Sup basil, I'm here today to clarify a few things about Maple story for the more ignorant users on Basilmarkert <3 First, let�s clear up something right off the bat. Maple story is a Grind/Boss game. ( If you say otherwise you�re wrong, it�s your opinion but opinions only get you so far in life.) The point of Maple story is to "Grind" and then "Boss" Whatever you do on the way to the "bossing" part is totally up to you *as long as you don't hack*. It irks me to death when I read a post like this on Basil Example - " You're missing the most important parts of Maple story by leeching" Blah, blah character control. Ok if it's that hard to control characters in maple story then give me a freaking medal. Since I've had almost every single type of character you can imagine and I control them just fine. Blah blah fun with friend�s blah blah PQ. Want to have real fun with your friends? Go get Mario Party for the N64 and invite some friends over. Nothing about grinding is fun " I repeat NOTHING. If you think staring at a screen for hours killing the same monsters over and over and over is fun? Then you need to eat some poptarts and snap out of it buddy. You miss nothing in Maple story by leeching. You might miss ksers, or training for hours on end with 2x, or Pqing for hours and having horrible parties that dc/ don't speak proper English, Fighting for a map only to have it taken during a 2x event. But honestly not a whole lot else. Not that I'm saying Maple story is a bad game, I've played for about 3 years now and I'm proud to say I've played. I'm just saying you Anti-Leechers are really taking Maple wayyy to srs man. It's not srs business unless you make it that way. K, if you want to flame this thread / discuss it further I'll be on for the rest of the morning playing Dragonica NA :3

Actually, I bet you kill inefficiently on at least ONE class due to lack of enough experience on it. No, I guarantee it. You aren't pro. You deserve 0 medals. Leeching does interfere with how this game was intended to be played. Nexon is even disappointed in you. That's sad. I grind frequently and have tons of fun doing it. You have to actually like the concept of Maple to like grinding. You're a lazy gamer. The type that flicks the wii remote instead of swings their arm. The type that puts cheats in on FPS games because you can't survive past level 2. The type that has slow reaction and blames the game when they lose. Lol!

Not true, I train/kill just as well if not better then most people on ANY class, And I would put it to the test if forbidden servers were still around. Interfere? Give me a break, If it did then it would have been gone long ago dude.

NOt true, Solar. It interferes with the game's original concept. Fact. Nexon, discourages leeching and would rather see you grind. Fact. I'm not 100% against leeching. I am however against idiots who defend it to no end as if it's fine to leech from level 26 to 140 on every character because you're lazy in real life and in video games.

I thought this would be about something more important than leeching. Yes, lazy people can buy their way out of grinding. Yes, it bothers the hell out of actual players. Yes, it's fair. Yes, it's also unfair to the actual players. The only bad side about it I can see is that it increases the price on high level items. Level 200 is also nowhere near as big a deal as it used to be. Wonder why? By making this thread you're taking maple srsly too.

You play games to have FUN, what you think is FUN is YOUR opinion, some ppl play b/c bossing is FUN, some ppl play b/c grinding is FUN, some ppl play and leech so they be strong and then have FUN b/c they r strong.

Whats the fun in a Mario game when you use Warp Pipes? "Beat the game faster" and speed runs. However if you played Mario 3--but never got to play the WHOLE thing--and never even knew that there was a giant World where everything looked like it was on crack--then you ARE missing parts of the game. The same thing applies to Maple Story. 2) Characters aren't hard to control, however people who have played their character for so many levels typically have better control of the character in the long run. Muscle Memory, enough said. 3) Mario Party is a horrible game. It's never been fun and you know it. Also grinding has pretty much been replaced with PQs for a lot of people. Sure, some of them are god awful boring, but I personally like having a goal-oriented way to grind. Also, what about quests? 4) I'm not touching your "You're not going to miss anything" speech with a twenty foot pole. 5) Dragonica's a pretty good game. Liking it so far? I enjoyed it until I realized you couldn't customize your stats and then it just seems lame.

They generally have rates that pretty much eliminate the tedium of grinding.

The "Point" of Maple Story is to have fun. You don't have to get to level 200 or anything. You can do whatever you want. You make your own goals. If you want to be a permanent CPQer , go ahead. If your sole objective is to get a full monster book, be my guest.If you find joy in merchanting, Merchant all you want. Maplestory provides the framework, thats it. You yourself provide the fun however you want.

False. -Hell Nexon seems to endorse leeching, As long as you do it on there terms Leeching for a few levels does nothing to damper the gameplay of Maplestory. Now if you leeched from 1 - 200 it might, but that is never the case now is it?
