If you dance around and look nice, people will probably be more willing to give you things for less. Haven't tried it myself, but it might work. Plus, yeah, there's the part where female equips tend to be cheaper, if you're not into charming people instead. Just be prepared for guys trying to make you their girlfriend by buying you over with two squishy liquids, a tree branch, five blue snail shells, and some leaves. (This happened to me once, and it was towards my not-very-pretty page. It was hilarious in a pathetic way.)
