| So, how much RAM do I need to play Maplestory, and how much do I need to make it run smoothly and efficiently. How much is recommended for optimum play? I'm XP. |

| MS can get up to 500mb-ish RAM usage, plus your OS. Soooo, 1GB for XP. 2GB for Vista (you could actually run Vista and MS on 1 GB, but you will have a higher chance of paging due to other programs as well). MapleFreakkk : http://maplestory.nexon.net/WZ.ASPX?PART=/Downloads/GamePatches That doesn't say anything about how much RAM you need. Unless I'm blind. |

| Haha, game requirements don't even show RAM anymore. |

| You're not clear enough. I'd say if you were running Windows XP 2-2.5GB of Ram will be sufficient. As for Vista, 4 GB for amazing running. DDR2 Ram is also much cheaper than DDR, so if you're running Vista, upgrades will cost you less. |

| 512 MB Minimum. 1-2 GB Recommended. 3+ to go through some of the more graphically strenuous parts of the game. |

They were more then clear enough, they said like 1GB for XP, 2 for Vista, and that's really all you need. Also, what's this about Vista being less expensive to upgrade because of DDR and DDR2? @above: RAM=/= graphical processing. |

If I try, I barely go over 3GB on my Vista. Also, just because you have Vista doesn't mean you going to have DDR2 RAM, as well as just because you have XP doesn't mean you have DDR RAM. |

| I've actually tested this LOL, and here were my results. For XP 256 MB ram - good enough to run, but takes 2 tries to log into MS, and you have to reboot when killing things like pap, ch1 fm entrance is inaccessible, many things are limited, lol .... 1 GB ram - Good enough for pretty much everything. A bit of lag though in major bosses with a lot of attackers like Zak, HT, and yeah, 1 PT and below / solo runs aren`t laggy. 2 GB ram - Pretty much good enough to run everything smoothly. |
