Every day I see many questions regarding the maker skill, and try as I might, I can�t answer them all in a timely manner. So, I created this; Alalme�s Guide to the maker skill. Please read, enjoy, and I hope you find it useful. If you find any errors, please PM me, so I can correct them! Yet to be added ~Looking for some more resources, and a better listing for magic powders and such. ~A list of reccomended places to farm monster drops for monster crystals. ~A section for 'Gordon's Magic Iron' ~Alot more! Table of Contents Note: I am new to doing these within-thread links, and so this section is going to be a little rusty for a while. I appreciate your patience. What is the Maker Skill? How do I get the maker skill? When should I be using the Maker Skill? I'm ready to make things! Erm, how? What are Monster Crystals / Magic Powders, and how do I get them? How do I dissasemble an item? That item was boring! Whoa, Whoa, Whoa, what the heck is "Hands"? What are reverse and timless equipment? Mystery Making Sounds awesome, anything else I should know? Resources Credits Conclusion What is the Maker Skill? The maker skill is a new skill introduced in patch version 0.73. The maker skill was released at the same time as the Knights of Cygnus patch. The maker skill allows you to create items for your class. The catch is you cannot create items that meet any of the following: -6 or more levels above your current level. -Common items. (Yes, this includes Capes, Work Gloves, and the like) -Gachapon items. (Sorry Heros, still have to buy your Stonetooth.) -Exceed the level limit for your current maker skill level. (75 for level 1, and 105 for level 2) The maker skill provides an advantage over forging from NPCs, or finding drops, because you have much more control over the turnout of the item. How do I get the maker skill? Note: Any class, with the exception of beginners, can get the maker skill Level 1: You must be level 45 to acquire Maker Skill Level 1. The Maker skill is acquired through NPC Moren, found in the Weapons and Armour shop of Magatia. When you go to see Moren, he will give you three quests you must complete: 1. Go see NPC Hughes the Fuse who can be found in the hidden room, entered through B2 in Orbis Tower. Hughes will proceed to teach you a lesson, I advise you pay attention. 2. Go see NPC Carlton, the Alchemist. Carson can be found in the Zenumist Society building. Again, Carson will proceed to bore you with text. Again, I advise you pay attention. 3. Go back to NPC Moren, and listen to his lesson. Once again, pay attention! Once you have completed all three lessons, talk to NPC Moren again, and he will proceed to quiz you on the lessons. This is why you should�ve read all that text. But no. You thought you were too important. But that�s okay, cuz its a really easy quiz and you can guess

kingofnoobs : recently i just made a gold double knife i used an Advanced diamond, and a Black crystal intermediate it came out +3 than average and no stats, / jump , w atk m atk spee So im guessing black crystals don't do anything =/ They definatley do, Black crystals affect the dex, luk, etc. Check for luk or str adds that are 2 above avrg.

Reaver72 : nice guide, but what do the hands do any way? Hands is like your dex+luk+int all added together. The higher the hands, the more chance of successfully grading something. Like if you wanted to grade 10 Basic Diamonds into an intermediate, you'd have a higher success rate with more hands.

Alalme : If you have high DEX, you�re in luck, because you also have high hands, and this reduces the chance of a stimulator causing creation failure. Ahh...So that's what "hands" is for...

Alalme : It either got countered by natural variation, or a stimulator you used. I am not sure if those crystals have the potential to add nothing, I'll look into it. Yeah, i did use a stimulator but so you're saying the DARK crystals the one that can add W.ATK?

Quick question. When you're doing the Maker Skill 2 quest, what are the odds Meren won't throw aside your Intermediate Crystal 1? I've done it two or three times already (I don't really play much), and Meren's thrown all of my attempts aside. Sure, it's only 2-3 times, but I'm getting tired of killing Homunculi just to satisfy that nitpicky blind man.

I don't know the odd as I have no experience with failure. Go buy cheap level 70 equips and dissasemble them. That's the easiest way.
