Corsair : worth the effort?

Basically what the title says. I was thinking about making a corsair because i want to have a solid bossing char that isnt as popular as say NL. Now my question to those Corsairs out there are. Do u enjoy ur corsair and was it worth the effort getting there? and also how often do u boss? Thank you. =D

The only reason i havent crossed to Corsair yet is because im a stubborn bastard. They are better than bucc in all aspects past 16x. My friend is 14x with godly equips. He BF's and Anegos daily.

I'll be honest and say that I don't enjoy my Corsair very much. The reason is because I find Battleship to be really annoying with it's 80% movement speed and I hate how Recoil Shot has a delay in between uses. I also do not like the fact that when your ship breaks, your damage sucks for 90 seconds. Yes, it's still pretty decent if you have max Rapid Fire, but I just prefer to have consistent damage. I admit that while you are on the ship the damage is quite amazing, though. I was popping out 18k's with LV.30 Cannon and a crappy 88 attack concerto at LV.142.

I'm 117 with my outlaw. I almost fully leeched it myself and you can do that too since you got a bishop =P I like to kill monsters with my outlaw cos i'ts quite strong and has a cool gaming style. I think corsairs are worth it because there are bosses like BF and anego who you can kill with almost entirely Battleship Cannon which is very strong :D Atm, I'm stronger than most other classes of my level, we got recoil shot which is quite cool and we got awesome octopi. At 4th job we become even a lot stronger and we get advanced homing shot which is really cool cos u can kill manon w/o having a hard time and stuff =D Maybe even BF and anego in that way, Idk exactly =) Corsairs are worth it imo.

^my point about the damage. My barrage averages 13k for the first 4, 25-35k for the 5th, and up to 64k on the 6th, give or take. But a corsair can cannon 2 times in the time it takes me to barrage. And keep in mind im using good equips.

Corsairs aren`t worth it if you want to boss. PB & HT require a lot of HP washing, and even then, your ship will be constantly breaking, no matter how good your control is. If you want to boss, make a Hero, a NL, or a Bishop, perhaps even a DrK.

Like a few months ago I've seen only hero's hunting BF's nowadays I see mostly DrKs solo-ing and they do well. Altho to solo bosh I would not suggest to make a bishop :] I'm creating my own bishop now & I love it so far.

If you want to boss, make a Hero, a NL, or a Bishop, perhaps even a DrK. corsairs have more base hp than NLs and at the level a corsair would boss pink been, and horntail his ships hp would probably be in the alot higher. forgot the formula to figure out your ships hp >.<

Corsair is worth it if you know how to control hopping on and off the battleship everytime a atk is abuot to happen and if you can get past the rough 2nd job without leeching.
