Where I See Maple Going Over The Next 4 Years

maplestory is slowly growing into the american population, i mean, they have adds on myspace. i saw a maplestory add on tv for the first time in my life. In 1 year (August 2010) i see them slowly growing into westernization. more adds of tv. arans will be out. Hints at the black magician boss will be out. mcpq 2 will be out. In 2 years (August 2011) i see them getting more into western society. More kids in America will begin to know about it. Level cap will be raised to maybe... im just guessing, 250. Black Magician boss will be released towards june or july. It will go undefeated (legitly) until year 3. A few more pq's for higher lvls. I think there is going to be another epq for higher lvls (higher than 55, the epq lvl req.) Better cab rides, kind of like a mini game (this was hinted at before). Before the black magician, another huge, multiple party boss thats higher than horntail, but weaker than pink bean, that drops items needed for reverse weapons (like pink bean drops timeless). Demethos will be populated enough, people will be able to transfer characters, etc. In 3 years (August 2012) i see pretty much every kid in America knowing about maplestory. That will attract many more casual players from north america, which i dont think there is too many of them at the moment. Possibly another new job/5th job. level 130, 150, 175, and 200 weapons will be released. Possibly another exp curve to 1.5% instead of 1.25 (thats what it is right?) Most servers will become very populated. 1 or 2 more servers will be added. A new continent will be released with monsters up to level 180/200. Nexon will launch a beta test of North America / USA MS. In 4 years (august 2013) i see Maplestory as one of the most popular online games in North America. North America MS will be released. 5th job will be released by now. Another new job will be released by now. (So there would be 7 jobs total, not including cygnus knights) North America MS will be released. Another pq would be added somewhere between the levels of 1 and 30, to make it even easier for the casual player to achieve 2nd job. Maker items will drop much more frequently (ie, powders) because of the lack of people using it. Thats all i can think of right now What do you guys think? Please don't say "Maple sux, its gunna die because nexon fails lolol" Maplestory will not die. It's one of the most popular online games in the world. lol, argument is over... this guy killed it... KenOfSeven : I think that Nexon wouldn't go far as that. I think they would make a Maple 2 (my Idea) where you can put your original maple char.(s) Maybe you need level requirement. Because I'm pretty sure maple would get so populated at like 2010 - 2013 lol maple 2? They already have like 12 different versions, you don't think they won't just add another?

all357 : so every1 thinks this is impossible just because they hate nexon/the world is gunna end... This is what people years ago thought when Maple Story started airing ADs on TV... Have you been to a grocery store recently? There are tons of other companies doing similar things as Nexon America. There are freaking tons of gift cards. They have competition.

superswanton : Scania will get way over populated, the others servers also begin to crowd up, due to massive increase of data and servers cost demand, Nexon loses more that it gains and goes bankrupt. I hope you know in KMS half of the server selction screen is filled with servers so this could never happen, Asia is waaay more populated then North America, if they really saw danger in overpopulation then they would have have separate regions like they do over in Asia (Kms, Jms, Msea,Etc.)

i thought GMS was for North America.. lol.. well at least im NorthAmerican.. and thats wat i play...and i thought most ppl already kno about maplestory...thats how i started playing. cuz ppl told me to... anyway, i dont think maplestory can last another 4 years... everything has to die/fade away at some point...(unless its spong-bob who just keeps coming back), but like pokemon died...and yu ji oh died.... so i dont think Maplestory can go another good 4 years without every1 making threads like " Dont u miss the good old days?" on basil (if this site still goes)

1 - mcpq 2 is coming out this month... 2 - they wont make another beta... the Global MS is North America MS now... i think it will only keep being like it is... a few new worlds, few new maps each server... till we get to have same content as KMS, and then just keep adding content when KMS releases new things or make exclusive contents... the community will be worse by each year... more bratty kids... more ignorant people who don't respect other players... that is it...

Maple will become popular, but people will also realize that RPGs on systems are starting to out-do MMOs by a lot. Also, since PS3 says they can support 256 people in one FPS map (MAG), I'm pretty sure systems are thinking of releasing some sort of MMO styled game, where people can invite their friends from GamerTags and PSNs to train grind and do quests with. Imagine Oblivion 5 (if they ever make it), and a Fallout 4 (again, if). It has been hinted that this game ( http://www.gamestop.com/gs/landing/chmpsol/default.aspx ) might come out on 360 (look @ GameStop's site, it says so, but Atari might not let the whole 360 happen). Eventually, there will be better games than MapleStory, and they'll become more popular IMO. Edit: @ few posts above, there is no Halo 16 and it was hinted that SSBB was the last in the series (but we can hope). As far as I know, Halo ends @ 3 ODST, and begins @ Halo:Reach (backwards timeline/prequel). I can see Bungie trying to make the fan base happy, but all the newer Halo-s will just fill in details that fanboys want to know about. There will be no Halo 4 (if you suggest Halo 3:ODST is Halo4, you are wrong. It's more of a Halo 2.5, since it happens before Master Chief goes to the city of New Mombosa, and MC goes to NM in Halo 3, so I guess prior, or during the events of Halo 3. Depends how fast it took MC to get to NM. I'm guessing not much, since each level seems like a 3 hour time frame @ max, lol.) They have competition. if maplestory is marketed correctly, it could easily be a household name. Nexon obviously knows how to do it, im guessing it's a huge hit in korea and japan (idk ive never been there). Like when they did the event with that pop star, i've never heard of her. Don't you think if suddenly T.I. shows up on the maple homepage, or linkin park, people are gunna go crazy. @above, thats the most reasonable response ive heard all day. When the ps3's and xbox 360s start coming out with huge mmo's for online modes maplestory could easily be replaced. But not every1 has a ps3/360 (i dont). Maybe if the prices significantly lower i can afford one, but atm i cant. But i can afford a free2play mmo. And i think that's gunna attract a large crowd.
