Flame Gears or Fire Strike?

What should i max first? Gears just doesn't seem to help that much at lvl 6. And my fire strike helps quite a bit a lvl 1

Gears is like poison mist, it beats fire strike after its high enough to use easily, and is your quickest way to train soon enough.

SlNtastic : Why would this be a joke? Cause,thinking if Flame Strike is more helpful than Flame Gear in training,it would seem like a joke. Flame Gear at a higher level burns monsters for a fixed time,and inflicts damage. It works like Posion Mist,and it'll give you alot of exp.

Out of curiousity, if Flame Gear damages based on HP, why do so many places recommend going to blue kents at level 76?

Not only is the duration of Flame Gear not high enough, at lower levels it takes off a smaller percent of monster HP per second were as a higher level Flame Gear would last longer and takes off a higher percent of the monsters HP.
