Why do dogs hump people?

Well my dog always humps my little brother for some reason and i want to know why and i want to know how to get him to stop. My friend says its to show dominance or something like that. Can someone tell me what to do to teach my dog to stop? EDIT: sigh i wish i could post a few more time everyday T_T curse being a new member EDIT#2: can someone tell me what to do to make it stop? EDIT#3: i just had the idea to google the answer (tottally my idea) EDIT#4: @mushiemonster (idk how to quote) you can only laugh out loud with your mouth silly!
