Tom Verlaine is underrated. So is Nels Cline, sure they're pretty famous but they're not regarded as 'great guitarists', which is a shame.

Eric Clapton was underrated back in the day, he was constantly being overshadowed by Hendrix. Every soldier over in 'Nam was listening to Hendrix instead of Clapton lol.
