Pure-Strength Archers?

does anyone make them? obviously they aren't everywhere, and there's never going to be a bandwagon, but i was wondering if there were any, at all. are there any that are really far?

you could do it but your damage would suck, I think its been proven that pkb still uses dex to determine its attack

The thing is, every other job's secondary skill adds accuracy and a tiny bit of damage (excluding luk for mages, i think). All str does for archers is give them stable damage and the right to wear their bows. So it doesn't really work for us

Haha, yeah. The AGF made one of those a while back - Bowjabber, level 30. Aya, he's pretty cool...proved that PKB is Dex based.

+ PKB wasn't really meant for the damage it deals, it was made to knock things back (without much 'power', really). It would make mobbing difficult because it knocks things back randomly, and if you hit your target back all the time (WR, for example) you really won't be able to deal much damage because you won't be able to catch them easily. I personally find PKB doesn't have a very large radius, so if I made a bowman meant to deal damage with PKB, I would burn so many HP pots it wouldn't be funny.

+ PKB does like 10 damage when your AP is entirely Strength based.

I thought PKB was dex based after the patch when it nerfed PKB.

PKB was most likely Dex based before that. There's no evidence proving it was Str based at any time ever.

This is just madness to me. Just like a pure luk mage. [Edit]Maybe I just need to be open minded. If there are, they're just like beginners who are warriors in disguise. They wouldn't be using bows, more like swords, axes, or maces.
