I am very upset at basil moderators

My friend was trying to have a nice on topic conversation, then we she tries to keep the random spammer away, she gets banned. So to keep this in the chat section, What was the most ridiculous reason you got banned for? Edit: Please don't PM me.

And to that one post that showed a SS of a guy being banned for saying he illegally downloaded pokemon games, that was really stupid. I'm sure there are people here in basil that can do a better job than most mods at the moment. seriously? Ban someone for saying 'illegally'? Rule #4 - Illegal Activities Discussions which promote or enable activities that are illegal in the United States of America are strictly forbidden. Did he ever discuss about it? No. He just said he did it illegally, that's it.

You're jumpin to conclusions and you seem eager to point fingers, but that's not how it is First, if a suspension doesn't say "Original post:" in it, it was issued by MrB. If you get multiple of the same or similar suspensions like that in a row, it's cuz MrB used his mass suspension/censor tool to suspend alotta people at the same time. He can do that. In many cases, it goes wrong and innocent people mistakenly get suspended [even happened to me once not that long ago] -- they get removed pretty quick, you jus gotta report it. MrB recognizes accidental censor-generated suspensions. Second, jus mentionin the illegal download of a game can promote others to do it. You gotta understand that mosta the rules are designed to either A) keep Basil from gettin sued and B) protect impressionable little kids. So yes, if you mention illegal downloading, we can get you for that. It's not stupid.

I once got banned for telling someone not to use the over 9k meme and where it originate from. It was ironic because I said 'don't post it on the forums or you'll get suspended'. It got removed from my history like 2 weeks later O-o (got a pm)

I forgot what exactly I posted, but it was like.. spam or useless something or another. It happened to be on topic, as far as I knew. o_O that was a 3 day.. then like the 4 posts after that one, were all part of the spam or uselessness excuse... I went up north during those three days. WHAT NOA MODS?

The weirdest suspension I ever got was in 2006, when there was still an auto-ban filter. Someone asked what the best training spot would be for his level, so I answered "Green- and Horny Mushrooms". BAM, auto-suspension for the first post I ever made on this site! . And those things were really called Horny Mushrooms back then. :S
