I hadn't played MS for a while, but when I saw they added the Knights of Cygnus, I decided to update. I wanted to try out a Blaze Wizard, and it didn't take me long to realize that the Blaze Wizard doesn't get an Increased MP Regeneration skill like the regular magician does... I also noticed that we don't get any sort of chair to help recover MP as a Knight of Cygnus. So my question is, do Blaze Wizards ever get increased MP Regeneration? Is there anything I can get or do that will increase the amount of MP I recover? Thanks in advance.

n0ubJust use potions. Chairs are extremely impractical.

n0ub : Just use potions. Chairs are extremely impractical. What's so impractical about them? Just that they take more time than potions?

yea, they dont get the chairs or the mp recovery. Also, they get only lvl 10 MG i believe making survival rates even less than a mage already has. However, they do seem really fun with fire pillar (similar to poison mist) and so many other neat skills. Not to mention, you get meteor, FD, and ifrit earlier than a regular f/p mage.

Blaze Wizards have the same chance to survive an attack as any other magician. On all mage classes Magic Guard absorbs 80% of the damage to your mana. Edit: Fire Pillar is more like the skill Explosion except its vertical range isn't as good. You are thinking about the skill Flame Gear.

Yeah, I agree that the skills the Blaze Wizard can learn are super awesome, that's why I made one. But I'm not sure how they can expect people to recover all that MP at 3 MP every 10 seconds. It makes things very difficult, especially for people who don't have the funds to buy all those pots.

Unfortunately, no there isn't really anything you can do besides using potions or buying chairs either from lith or the ones that heal mp that came from gach and events. Using a chair is impractical in the sense that you don't use it to heal your mp if you want to train efficiently, which I'm sure you know. If you have to heal your mp every time you killed a few monsters by sitting it would take a lot longer time to gain exp than using potions and the overall lost of time due to sitting in the chair you probably could have earned those mesos back from the monsters you killed in lower levels and in higher levels it is even more impractical because if you're using meteor which costs at least half your mp if not more for just a one-time use of your skill there is no way you'd be able to sit down before another mob of monsters came at you and healing that much mp by sitting would take ludicrous amount of your time.

I realize that most people consider regeneration to be "impractical," but I'm not going anywhere, here. I'm a very casual player, I've been playing Maple Story for a long time, and I have the time to spare, and I'm certainly not in any kind of hurry. I'm quite used to recovering my HP and MP slowly while I grind. I usually read a book or browse a forum in the meantime. To me, not having MP regeneration is a problem and I'm considering deleting this CK and picking a different one.

I have been playing Maplestory since beta and waiting for the mp to heal is annoying. Especially if you are in a hurry or training. If you seriously can't afford mp pots, how can you heal mp with a chair. The only chair that heals mp, if , you can't afford mp pots, is the Palm Beach Chair. But I would rather sell it and use the money to buy mp pots. Buy the mp pots in nlc.(Much cheaper if you didn't know) If you are poor, merchant. If you too lazy to merchant, make a cleric.

Not only should you be able to notice that my main character is a cleric, but your post is also rather belligerent. I was simply wondering if there was a better way to recover MP for my Blaze Wizard, I don't care about "merchant" or really investing any more "real money" into this game. I play it casually, but I play it to have fun, so a normal amount of regenerating has to be done, but 3 MP per second for a magician is a little ridiculous. Like I said, I'm not in any sort of hurry, I'm not trying to make this a huge event because I play other MMOs, I was just wondering if the community had any advice for me.

To answer your question, no we don't. I have to stick to potting; going AFK and hoping to come back with some more MP is pretty futile. We were supposed to get an MP Eater at Second Job, but it was removed for some reason.
