Press ctrl+Alt+del and go to task manager, while the game is still running and report back with the cpu usage.

GunChecker : @above ur lucky then give it time You are one annoying parrot you know that right? "Give it some time". You know how dumb that sounds? Yes, an Operating System will suddenly have a mind of it's own and screw you over in a few months time. Right...You know, in those months, the user could have gotten infected by a malicious file running in the background that cause them to used 100% CPU usage. Or are you going to say the OS force the user to click on a link to go on a site with malicious file? Anything could happen from now and into the future. And most likely it going to be cause by the user. Please, do me a big favor. Stop posting in these kinds of thread, since you obviously don't know what you are talking about. And the first thing you going to do is make a dumb statement while blaming everything Vista. Edit: I'm seriously going to give up on this section now. TS, go into your Task Manager again and into the Processes. Click on the CPU tab. Make it in a way that it's going from the highest to lowest. That represent the number represent percentage. Why exactly is using up your CPU? If you could, provide a screenshot of it with the Task Manager maximize. Also, to get the malicious file idea out the way, run a scan with Malwarebytes in safe mode. Damn, I got an headache...I wonder if this kind of thread are supposed to be posted in the Non-MS Tech? Sure it involves MS, but there much more to it then that...

sorry i wasnt relle sure which forum to put it in lol and umm i have no idea how to do a screen shot but i can tell you that theres 53 processes running and firefox is taking up 78,000. maple takes up 250,000 about and the rest is host processes. theyre called "svchost.exe' and dwm.exe and audiodg.exe but its mostly svchost.exe

Vista is known to have so many things running in the background. There are hidden processes, task manager doesnt show all of them. spyware also eats at computer. I recommend storing your things on your backup drive, then reformatting with an XP cd or the new Windows 7. (if spyware, virus check doesnt work) I hate vista. so unorganized and faulty compared to the beautiful xp version :] If you dont want to reformat, check your diagnotic and We could see if its a virus or simply system problem

-sighs- My last post on this subject. When I'm on my Vista, my CPU usage NEVER goes up to 100% on MS. Unless I'm doing some that will put a lot of stress on it. This issue is NOT NORMAL for Vista, XP, Win7, etc. Also, I've been a XP user for years (still have a computer that has it) and used Vista for quite some time now. My Vista performs just as well as any of my other XP. Reason for it is I take my care of my computer and never allow anything bad happen to it. From scanning my computer every two weeks to defragging my computer every 1-2 month to manually checking any new drivers that been release. I've have yet to have any problems on any of the Vista system I own and build. So why do all of you have so much problems with it? Sw1tchBlade : sorry i wasnt relle sure which forum to put it in lol and umm i have no idea how to do a screen shot but i can tell you that theres 53 processes running and firefox is taking up 78,000. maple takes up 250,000 about and the rest is host processes. theyre called "svchost.exe' and dwm.exe and audiodg.exe but its mostly svchost.exe You listed the amount of memory each of the program used. Not the CPU usage. You know how there's a list of rows that gives a lot of "00". That's how many % that program is using. As for taking a screenshot, Prt Scr will capture an image of your screen onto the clipboard. Once you do that, you are able to paste it into Paint. Save it and upload the image to imageshack or photobucket.

He got svchost, that means his computer have/had been hit by a virus. Same with my computer. But you have to know WHICH svchost to close. Try to guess and close few of the svc host and play, it's like playing mine sweeper.
