OK I post a simular thread in the Paladin forum, but I figured it shold be opened up to all warriors. basically the question is which is better a reverse weapon or a stonetooth and why do you think that. You can compare 1h or 2h reverse weapons? I wanted to be general but my Stonetooth has an Atk of 125

Well the details matter a lot. The reverse weapons are capable of an enormous attack advantage over the stonetooth. You will just have to calculate what the exact number it would be to match the stonetooth's Speed. For example a 115 Attack Stonetooth (60% avg Clean) would do as much DPM as a 127 attack reverse (Someone check my math).

megacam is correct the speed advantage (fast 5 vs normal6) is x1.09 does that help? because of this a PERFECT stonetooth would murder a PREFECT reverse weapon (BTW Red katana beats them all with a PERFECT scrolling and PERFECT attk shield EDIT ok heres my calculations NOTE: i will note take other equips or str into account Sorry ^.^" perfect stonetooth=140 atk perfect claymore=151 atk 140x1.09= around 154 atk so a 154 atk normal speed sword would counter this

Also with the math you should factor in the loss of attack in strength (120 Dex Needed To equip ST) compared to the 0 dex of a reverse. If you already have high dex I would highly recommend finding a well scrolled ST.

x1.09 is assuming that you are training on a monster with 0 def, but in most cases thats not the reality So keep in mind that greater damage range suffers less from monster def xD

Basically, you need a 136 attack Nibelhiem to out-do your ST.

Unless you 1hit with a Reverse weapon a ST should win Because if you two-hit a ST obviously wins Since you're going to slowly be more and more limited to 1~2 places But also factor in the equations said above

If we use the 1.09 multiplicator, the Stonetooth and Nibleheim end up on relatively even ground. |

pokemon08 : megacam is correct the speed advantage (fast 5 vs normal6) is x1.09 does that help? because of this a PERFECT stonetooth would murder a PREFECT reverse weapon (BTW Red katana beats them all with a PERFECT scrolling and PERFECT attk shield Assuming 108 Atk Clean ST: 9x 10%s = 153 Atk Assuming 116 Atk Clean Reverse Nibleheim: 9x 10%s, 3x 2 Atk Level ups: 167 Atk That ST needs a 166.77 Atk Normal speed counterpart to beat it. Depending on how you made the Reverse Nibleheim, its extra Str should more than close the gap setting the two swords entirely equal. However, not that getting a 116 Reverse Nibleheim is substantially easier in my opinion than finding a 108 ST nowadays. They'll both be more or less aggravating to acquire, but what "perfect" equips aren't? ~~~ For the sake of the rest of the argument I'll do the stats for an RK and LB setup. Assume 94 Atk Clean RK: 9x 10%s = 139 Atk. Assume 109 Atk Clean LB: 9x 10%s = 154 Atk. Perfect MS Shield: 12x 10%s = 36 Atk. ~~~ Perfect RK Set-up: 175 Atk ~ 209.63 Atk Normal Speed Set-up ~ 190.75 Atk Fast Set-up Perfect LB Set-up: 180 Atk ~ 215.62 Atk Normal Speed Set-up ~ 196.2 Atk Fast 5 Set-up Perfect Executioners Set-up: 201 Atk Fast 5 (114 Clean + 6 Atk Level-ups + 45 via 9x 10%s + 36 Atk Shield) <-- Winner? I didn't do the weapon comparisons between 1H and 2H set ups but as you can see, it'd be impossible to match up to the RK/LB if we factor in only perfect scrolled items. These Atk comparisons don't factor in buffs, and Atk from other items such as gloves, cape, etc which would influence the overall disparity even more. Also the reason why some of the weapons have absurdly high clean Atks is due to the maker. One can easily net 6+ or more attack from average if all the cards fall in your favor.

Now that the Math has been done. What does everyone think? will reverse weapons be the perfered choice to a stonetooth?

a reverse weapon is better imo. 1. st needs dex and its easier to get acc then dex. 2. in theory you can get an awesome clean reverse weapon (adv diamond, adv dc, adv bc, stimulator) dunno how much dc and bc can add. plus you get 6atk and 6(?) str, 3(?)dx of the lvl ups. reason for st 1. st its faster 2. you have high dex, so you can wear a taru cape which should be better than a 4atk pink cape(i dunno is there any higher clena atk cape?) if they both are perfectly scrolled. (1more atk<<<<30str) so reverse wins, (i know its harder to get a perfect reverse weapon and i think noone will ever get one, cuz you have to be extremly lucky) but i think an avg reverse weapon is better then an avg st cuz you can add gems to it and its lvl ups.

IMO because you already have a very nice ST you should just use it. Getting a nice Reverse will be very hard and may not turn out well.
