A moral dilemma.

Last summer, when I quit MapleStory, I had a pair of fifteen attack work gloves, among other expensive equipment. Among that other equipment was a twenty-five LUK sauna and a 21 LUK Katinas. Having no need for the Katinas, I let my friend borrow it for as long as she needed. Later that summer, my equipment was taken from me. I lost the Sauna and the gloves. However, my friend had no further need for the Katinas, so I asked for it. She told me she had sold it for a pair of twelve attack gloves. I'm glove-less and LUK overall-less. She, once again, has no use for the gloves; she is taking a break from MapleStory, likely for another month or so. In her absence, her boyfriend is using the gloves. Is it right for me to demand my gloves from him?

Some friend she is, selling your equips. If it's a real life friend, just call her up. If not, you do have the right to demand it. Although the boyfriend probably will not believe you...It's worth a try!

She is a real-life friend, and that's why I'm hesitant to ask her; her and I are very close.

I'd ask the boyfriend and explain what happend. I doubt I would give a 12atk pair of gloves to someone who said they were my wifes friend but its worth a try.

I believe since you let her borrow it, you have the right to ask for the gloves OR ask for an equivalent money for a 21 luk katina. Unless you didn't make it clear that she was borrowing it for as long as she needed. If she indeed knew she was borrowing it, then she needs to compensate for selling it
