What is bob's snail shell for?

Yeah so i killed bob and looted his shell, is it for a quest? I don't have an SS so don't say it.

The quest has been fixed. u can do everything except the very last part where u have to give Jay the shell. he wont accept it.

yeah, you can do the quest? i finished it a week ago... just talk to jay again and again and then he will accept it..
