Well, some of you know that I used to be a gamemaster for tabletop RPGs from about 1994 until 2006. One day, I got bored, sat down and thought, "What if I could design better PQ scenarios than the Nexon writers?" Then a small voice inside asked who couldn't. Thus, about 2 years ago I began writing down some ideas. Present feedback if you like. And do please keep in mind that: this project was begun before 4th job even came out, let alone Pirates, Cygnus, or for that matter many equips/items/enemies you can access today. The Epic Chronicles PQ, version 3: The Festering of Souls Requirements for all party members: Minimum level: 110 Maximum level: 140 Must be on rankings Every party member must be either a Dark Knight, Hermit, Night Lord, Chief Bandit, or Shadower Each player in party must at some point have dealt the killing blow to Papulatus. Time limit: 1 hour Upon entering this PQ, you may not leave it through any method short of being killed or time running out. Enemies: Spectral Force: A shadow that floats around the screen. Any time it deals touch damage to a character, it takes the form of that character, and can use the character's attacks (though not support skills) at will. Level: 99; HP: 67,500; Weapon defense: 700; KB: 5,000; Speed: 40; Avoid: 36; base damage range: around 800; EXP: 3,200; weak vs. holy or heal. Vampiric Shaman: A vampire that appears to have been a Priest before changing. This foe can float across the lower half of the screen, heals itself whenever it inflicts a hit, and has the Nabassu's properties of controlling all slain characters. It can also use a twisted anti-healing to heal itself and other monsters, and has limited use of Teleportation and of a dark-elemental Shining Ray. Level: 110; HP: 77,000; Weapon defense: 400; KB: 6,500; Speed: 20; Avoid: 39; base damage: around 1200 touch or 2000 magic damage; EXP: 4,500 each. Phantasmal Amathar: An illusory, black-and-white phantom of an almighty wizard. Level: 130; Avoid: 44; HP: 3,500,000; Weapon defense: 900; KB: 14,000; Speed: 30. It can use three main attacks but deals no touch damage: it can cast a massive blizzard that deals around 3000 ice damage to each character plus 2 second freeze; it can cast a tremendous lightning storm for 3200 lightning damage to all plus stun; or it can cast a single fireball that deals 4800 fire damage to one character. It will only cast the latter at a Dark Knight, who can hit it back with Fury, engaging in a back-and-forth volley until one or the other misses. The fireball knocks the target back by roughly one quarter of a screen. Phantasmal Amathar is inv |
