Alright, I was reading the Maker Tutorial book, and it mentioned "Accelerators" Now I'm assuming that these are the same as Weapon/Armor Stimulators. Well, in the book, it states that if the accelerator is used, then the "options are guaranteed to be better" (granted that there's a 10% failure rate) But the NPC in Leafre says that it make the item have worse stats too. Now, I'm totally confused, because the Maker skill also gives random stats to begin with(same as finding an item, stats can go up or down) So what's the point of a stimulator if it does the same thing, but with a failure rate? So basically, what I'm ask you Basilers is, If I use a Stimulator in the Item Making Process using the Maker Skill, are the stats Guaranteed to be better if it works?

That is one good question, and i didn't know the stats when making an item with-out any extra items would be random that sucks. Ps. The % of failure is used by the stat "Hands" the higher it is the less chance it has of failing.

In my experience they do nothing, all item's i've tried to make with a stimulator ended up having the stats they'd have just by adding the crystals i used.

i've used stimulators with maker skill. i think usually i end up with higher attack then from my diamonds alone. thus i conclude it's a positive to use them. once in a while though, they appear to have no effect.

W/o stimulator the items will always be avg stats.with stimulator they can be over or under avg.

One was under avg (-2 in str and 4 in Def) -.- so I disaster'd it, and made another one that was over avg(+1 in Accuracy) I used No gems or stimulators in the process.

I actually have plenty of experience with Stimulators but just because I think I'll get bashed too, I'll keep my wisdom to myself First of all, I wasn't bashing him, I was correcting him, he may have not used Stimulators in the future because of what he thought, and regretted it. What is it with basilers and thinking EVERYTHING is negative?

i used a advanced diamond and bow stim to make a asianic bow, i ended up getting a bow that was +8 above average. Plus yes the stimulator provided it works will keep your item on the plus end, although that doesn't mean it will be on the plus end of the good stuff like weapon attack and dex/str/luk/int and etc...

when i make my ultimate overall (just buyed an overall stim, i'm missing gems) i'll share my results =) but i have 1 doubt, does the dark crystal works as a chaos? (+5 random stats?) i ask this because i read about it somewhere....

(+5 random stats?) i ask this because i read about it somewhere.... Dark Crystals affect stat's who's gems add Basic 2 Inter 3 Adv 5 It randomly raises ONE of those stats by the +number of the Gem. For example, if you use it on a Yellow Maple bandana which is 1/1/1/1 And you use an Adv Dark Crystal, one of those stats will become 6, it's random but one will increase by 5.
