| Whew. Good to have the original back and post new threads. Well, some of you know that I used to be a gamemaster for tabletop RPGs from about 1994 until 2006. One day, I got bored, sat down and thought, "What if I could design better PQ scenarios than the Nexon writers?" Then a small voice inside asked who couldn't. Thus, about 2 years ago I began writing down some ideas. Today, after a one-year hiatus, I've completed the sixth and final Word file that culminates the invention of those ideas. And so, I now post part one, the scenario designed for Crusaders, Heroes, Priests, Bishops, and Paladins... the Infernal Crusade. Present feedback if you like. And do please keep in mind that: this project was begun before 4th job even came out, let alone Pirates, Cygnus, or for that matter many equips/items/enemies you can access today. Personally this is my favorite of the four initial PQs. Part 2 viewable here: http://www.basilmarket.com/forum/1171971/1 Part 3 viewable here: http://www.basilmarket.com/forum/1173189/1 Part 4 viewable here: http://www.basilmarket.com/forum/1173963/1 Part 5, Immortal Dragons: http://www.basilmarket.com/forum/1180523/1 The Epic Chronicles PQ, version 1: The Infernal Crusade Requirements for all party members Minimum level: 110 Maximum level: 140 Must be on rankings Every party member must be either a Paladin, Crusader, Hero, Priest, or Bishop Each player in party must at some point have dealt the killing blow to Zakum (3)
Time limit: 1 hour Upon entering this PQ, you may not leave it through any method short of being killed or time running out. Enemies: Saracen: The decaying zombie of an ancient bearded warrior wielding a curved scimitar. Level: 90; Avoid: 20; HP: 50,000; Weapon defense: 800; KB: 5,000; Speed: 20; base damage: around 1500; EXP: 3,000; weak vs. holy; vulnerable to Heal. Nabassu: A shadowy demon with glowing eyes, bat wings and sharp claws. They can fly. Nabassu emanate an aura of total darkness around themselves that can also cloak things inside, rendering everything within (including players and other monsters) completely invisible to players, causing obvious problems if they are grouped near other monsters, particularly fellow Nabassu. Level: 100; Avoid: 27; HP: 120,000; Weapon defense: 600; KB: 7,500; Speed: 40; base damage: around 1200 touch or 1800 magic damage; EXP: 6,500; weak vs. holy. Any character who deals damage to a Nabassu takes one-tenth as much damage as he dealt. Any time a character is killed by a hit from a Nabassu, a zombie of that character will spawn. Goliath the Anti-Paladin: The legendary gargantuan warrior, appearing as a warrior roughly twice the height of a player character, with a helm, Dark Commodore and a massive Devil's Sunrise. Level: 140; Avoid: 25; HP: 10,000,000; Weapon defense: 1200; KB: 15,000; Speed: 10; base damage: 1000; EXP: 9,000,000; takes half damage from all elemental attacks including holy. | That would be a PQ that would make a lot of the maple world very, very sad. The other classes deserve some credit too D: You think during the crusades they didn't have pirates, archers, and thieves? They totally did =/ There is not a PQ that would exclude classes =/ Not even MPQ or CWKPQ I really like all the effort you put into it, you could totally send it off to Nexon, if only you made some considerations for the other jobs too D: EDIT: read your reason for why no pirates. Still thinks there needs to be considerations for archers and thieves at the very least. EDIT 2: What would happen with Elixirs or Power Elixirs if one of the effects were reverse? Would Power Elixirs kill you? |

Would Power Elixirs kill you? Actually, this is a six-part PQ. Part 2 is for DKs and bowmen. Part 3 is for Dark Knights and thieves. And part 4 is for Mages (excluding those here) and White Knights. Parts 5 and 6 are all-class scenarios for much higher levels - part 5 is a collection of bosses and part 6 is a superboss that, despite having far less HP, is IMO designed to be much tougher than Pink Been. Reverse Power Elixirs... hmm. I suppose they might, but to be lenient, a compromise could be to have a 1/1 effect. |

| andrewsditac : he dosen't sell power elixers I know that. But you can bring your own, can't you? @TS: A 1 HP/MP effect would be most realistic. Didn't realize there were different parts, my apologies. Also: Props on the music details, as a student that's been in Band and Orchestra, game music and the mood it sets sometimes makes or breaks a game for me. |

| Very... indepth. But despite how awesome it is, isn't it... kind of demotivating that it will likely never come true after so much effort? |

I like Nobuo Uematsu second-best of any living composer behind John Williams (and he is ahead solely because of Schindler's List), but I found myself citing Nobuo surprisingly little. Between this and the other three early PQs, I cite the following as references in total: FF 5 and 6, MS, Chrono Trigger (most of any game), Secret of Mana, Donkey Kong Country, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Edguy, Legend of Dragoon/Legaia, Lunar 2: Eternal Blue/Silver Star Story, Illusion of Gaia, Ogre Battle 64, and the Lord of the Rings films. IMO the listed games have among the best-written original game soundtracks in history (MS being the exception), along with FF 7-10 (especially 8) and maybe Zelda. |

| ./offtopic I find MS music a tad bit simple, after playing things like the Firebird Suite, man, things just don't match up to your standards anymore. Trans-Siberian Orchestra is great, I like the effects. I've never watched the LOTR movies, I've heard some of the music in it though, pretty good. But IMO: best living composer= Joe Hisaishi. (But Stravinsky is still a beast). Just curious, are you considering on sending this in? I had commented on someone's PQ idea a while ago, and he intends on sending his idea in. It wasn't as detailed as this. I'm not sure how you'd go about doing that though. Definitely not through logging a ticket. Haha. |

I got the same feeling about "Duel of the Fates" after playing "Overture 1812."
Just curious, are you considering on sending this in? Haha.
No way, I've given up on trying to contact Nexon employees about anything at all ever since I spent 3 months trying to obtain permission from NXJoeW to use his likeness as a playable character in a FF6 romhack that I've given up on. Not to mention all the times when I first started playing and tried sending them screenshots of hackers and mass-KSers with no response. |

| Good to see you posting on your main account again man! but non-the-less this sounds like a cool PQ (Not just because I'm a sader) I think it would be hard as hell. Suggestion though, you should put in a couple axes and BWs, since not everyone is a swordie. |
