Recently I've been jogging around 8pm at night for an hour plus to lose some weight and train up some stamina. When I get home I will bathe and sleep. However, my friend told me that exercising at night will actually do me some harm, and he said by not eating after exercising at night my muscles will weaken or something like that. So I would like to ask. Is exercising at night better/same/more harmful than like evening or morning? And should I have anything to eat after jogging at 9+?

I heard that eating after 9 isn't good for you! Then again, I don't know if eating before jogging will you do any good other than just providing energy!

The best time to exercise is in the morning, after eating something small, like banana (has potassium), then afterward eating a bigger meal- ie: breakfast.

The time at which you excercise doesn't matter. The eating however, is. Proteins especially are needed to rebuild the damaged muscles(yes, the only thing you do is damage them ). Not doing this will result in an unfully exploitation of your efforts . Hope this helped.

Whenever you exercise what you're actually doing is damaging your muscles; you need protein to rebuild them after. If you exercise at night; you're making it so either you eat at night which is unhealthy, or you don't eat at all which makes your exercise pointless. Then again, jogging isn't a really an intense aerobic exercise.. I don't know. Just exercise in the morning.

Well but I usually eat at around 3+ for lunch, and not anymore until the next morning at 9+am. I keep thinking that having dinner after my jogging makes my jogging futile.

I heard exercising before bed time (around 2 hours before) tires the body therefore a better sleep but exercising right before you sleep raises the blood pressure therefore harder to sleep. I don't know if its true so dont take my advise =/

It's about burning off (and more) than you eat in a day. To lose weight.. If you go jogging after you wake up, you'll get your metabolism started so you burn off your breakfast quicker.
