Being anonymous gives people courage - MSLovelyIdiot Today, in less than 30 minutes, I received 5 racial abuse comments. This is not OK. It hurts to be compared to a stereotypical person. People seem to see other races as worse than them. Mexicans and Israelis are often attacked. This is disgusting. Don't say people are "Jews" because they are stingy. It has no relevance and is stupid. Racism is everywhere, and in MapleStory, it has gotten worse over time. People enjoy seeing others' pain, so attack them where it hurts most (do NOT take this sentence humorously). This is not OK. It does not make you look cool or whatever. Eg. People use stereotypes - "YOU ISRAELI?" Well Israeli keyboards automatically caps in Maple. I bet half of you didn't know that. It is not OK to morally degrade someone because you want to see them hurt. I am talking to all the stereotypical and gutless individuals who take pride in their racist insults. Just because you're behind your little computer screen doesn't mean you can attack people. Treat others as you wish to be treated yourself. Racism is a disgusting resort of verbal abuse, and must be stopped. Please, if you see anyone being racist, advise them not to and never resort to the fiendish act yourself. It is degrading for YOU. Ask yourself why you do it: Why? Thank you for reading this, and please DO NOT RESORT TO RACISM. IT IS GUTLESS, AND IMMATURE. Please comment. And to all you idiots out there: Grow up.

It's impossible to stop racism. I'm sure everyone's a little bit racist sometimes. I'm actually fine with people disliking another race, as long as they don't go overboard with their hatred.

Err. I agree, people at least need to lower down on racism.. O-o Is getting annoying. Most people on online games are racist because they want to be cool in front of everyone or to satisfy their self-centered personality. (or they have their own reasons)

Racism/discrimination is not logical, especially not in a game, where you know next to nothing about others. I've been called gay, lesbian, bi, Israeli, a cheesegrater (I'm Dutch), a pot addict (I'm Dutch), a whore (I'm Dutch) and something that has to do with the colour of character's skin a couple of times just for disagreeing with someone. Thing is that this stuff doesn't reveal anything about others; people always think I'm black (and address me according to that f they're mad at me), but how many people thought xXSyKoXx was a Smurf? He typed pretty long replies- it would have cost him too much of an effort jumping from key to key with hi short little legs. -_-

you cant stop racism online and its futile to even try. even better your appealing to a very very very tiny sample of the maple community and this sample is generally the more mature compared to the 10 year olds that are running around that dont use basil. so basil isnt the place to rant about racism because basil generally isnt very racist. in otherwords your wasting your breath on the people you dont have to convince best advice i can give you is to not let some text comment over the internet get to you. as a matter of fact dont let racial slurs get to you period. they arent going away in real life anytime soon either. youl be faced with them the rest of your life unfortunately. i dont know personally but i have friends who have had this prblem in real life and there is no getting around it you just have to not let it bother you. its impossible to stop anything on the internet. period end of story.
