Last week I went to visit my brother in Wellington, in which time I wasn't on the internet, I always keep a note stuck on my wall in my room with my account and forum passwords and usernames written on it so I don't forget (because I have so many), and coincidently a few weeks back my neighbour Hannah was invited over to dinner by my parents, I suspect she must have found the info while snooping around our house, and decided to access my accounts while I wasn't around. Some of you may have seen the thread about how "My sister is dead", or maybe you were on my BL or in my guild and were contacted by my brother . I'm extremely pissed off by this, and while nothing was stolen, I'm just too embarassed to come back just yet. I've decided to quit for now and come back when I'm not recieving 5 messages a day asking me why I'm still online and not dead and buried. Anyway, my point is, for those of you who think people won't take your information just because you know them in real life, think again. I've learnt to keep all my details hidden, and if you're one of the few people who keep information written down and public, you should take it down too. It's not really one of those things where you think "God, she's so stupid to just leave it lying around" because I had no idea this could even happen really, I thought most unauthorized account accesses only happened through the internet with keyloggers and trojans, most people just don't see the risk of keeping stuff like this written down in real life. Well, thanks, you've been a great audience, and I'm sorry if you thought I was dead, usually I'd write a more sympathetic well thought out line to say, but to be honest, I can't be bothered.
