Yeah... saw the previews in theaters.. i'm not into sci fi.. so doesn't look like something that i would watch if it ain't got any actors i like in it.. so imma say 25m first box office weekend.. then we'll see.. i wouldn't watch it.. however, i think most ppl like sci fi.. i don't... transformers 2 sucked... it was crap..

First things first: Transformers and Transformers 2 were two of the most god-awful movies to ever grace the big screen. Michael Bay needs to either learn how to make movies that don't rely on stereotypes, "reimaginings" of old series, and sexual/immature jokes, or stop film-making altogether. Secondly, no. District 9 is about aliens landing on Earth, in the USA, where they become basically the target of racism (humans and non-humans) and are forced to remain on our planet, living in less-than-ideal living conditions as the government does whatever they please with them (tests, research, violence, etc.). Transformers is about alien robots who come to Earth and can transform into everyday vehicles to disguise themselves as they carry out to protect their kind and all that stuff. There is no resemblance whatsoever. In fact, it's basically an insult to try to compare those two.

Isn't District 9 (youtube) about aliens? and Transformers is robots? well there are robot type things in the District 9 movie
