Our last NYC basilcon was a failure because no one showed up (including me). I hosted the event.. and it didn't go as planned. BUT, now we are actually going to make one and let's make a good one! This is only for North Jersey and New York residents that want to attend. No jokes. When will it be? I'm trying to find an appropriate date. I was thinking during the Spring of 2010 (not 2009) (somewhere around April, preferably when everyone has Easter/April break). Obviously it would be a saturday or sunday (depends which would be best for basilers) and would be from 1 PM to around 6 PM or when the skies are dark (or until our hearts give out from the fun :D). On the weather, I'm picking a sunny day. Where will it be? It'll be inside of Central Park, at the Carousel. Central Park is chosen for it's many beautiful landscapes and fun activities that we can do as NYC/Jersey basilers, and has multiple locations to meet up. The Carousel was chosen because it is easy to find your way to the Carousel and easy to find basilers because of the small size. What should I bring? You would most likely have to bring about $25 for food (I recommend about $40 just incase you want to buy something), comfortable clothing, a cell phone and (optional) your own map of Central Park. A camera is also a great addition for pictures with your basil buddies :D I want to sign up and go! Just post on the thread with your name, age, and (optional) a picture of yourself or PM me, whichever. I'll sort out other details on it later and let you know by PM if you sign up. yeah man, bad timing... you should plan these things months in advance. you should make this a spring thing... I KNOW! plan to make this 'con around the time the cherry blossoms bloom.

This is just like the SoCal, just a different location. The timing I admit is not the best but it is better than nothing. I've been in thought of making another NYC BasilCon since the last one.

I'm thinking of going with TobiasBlack and allow more people to sign up and make this a Spring thing.
