Well, I'm sure you all know, but I actually blew up an item worth 50mil. I spent all my money scrolling it, and on the last two slots, boom with a 70%. @Above: I knew I would be screwed if it did fail, but I thought today was just my day, so I decided to see what would happen. I previously helped out a couple of people too, and I thought that would give me a bit of luck, somehow.

Last two slots? I'm sorry, but you should never scroll any item with a 70% unless it's either scroll #1, #2, or #3.

And that's why 70%'s fail hard. For the extra 10% compared to a 60 you get a chance of a item going kablewy. At least with 30% your odds improve from 1 in 10 to 1 in 3.
