Trojan Horse or basil?

Malware or something like that got detected by Avast when i went on basil market. It then froze my laptop. Nothings wrong now. But Just want you guys to be aware if this is serious.

I get that every now and then too, Avast usually recommends to terminate connection, so I do, and I end up fine. Edit: What do you know, right after posting, it appears. Just abort connection and it should be fine. I notice it's usually that stupid JCPenny ad when it comes up.

Often anti-virus programs use what's called "heuristic" analysis to determine whether something it doesn't necessarily recognize as a definite virus MIGHT be a threat by comparing what it looks like, or what it's doing, with known "virus-like" activity. While this helps protect against "unknown" threats which haven't yet been patched, it also results in a lot of "false positives" where a perfectly innocent program will be flagged as a "virus". An example of this is when the GameGuard folder kept triggering certain anti-virus programs which set off a wave of paranoia among Maple Story players ("OMG! Maple is a virus!") Not saying this is what's happening with these "Basil is a virus" reports, but it's one possible explanation. Your anti-virus might be detecting something in one of the ads on the page that it doesn't like and is warning you to be careful.

omg serisouly i got maleware like 2 weeks ago and both my hard drives broke and i just got my cpu back yesterday dam and i dont even have virus protection yet, dam basil

Could be a trojan hiding in one of the ads. Just use AdBlock Plus to avoid it.
