Slow vs fire arrow

Hey guys, i know there may be alot of posts about this but im still confused whether or not i should master slow or fire arrow. Plz help. P.s. give a reason why to pick one over the other

I say fire arrow cuz its cool and kills while slow just slows down a few monsters

Slow does nothing for you, and if anything hinders your mobbing ability. Fire Arrow is another attack. Nice to have a single target move, but odds are you won't use it much since you mob train. But you'd probably use FA more situationally, so FA.

Slow is very helpful when it comes to using Fire Gear, it slows down the monsters, so the monster inside the Fire Gear are damaged for a longer time. But if you'd rather have a Single target skill that is slightly stronger than magic claw, then get fire arrow.

I have no idea what job you are. Blaze Wizard or F/P Mage. Blaze Wizard - Do not get Fire Arrow, max Slow. It will increase your ability to utilize Curtain in 3rd job. F/P Mage - If you are planning to max Poison Brace, then no, do not max Fire Arrow. If you are a F/P Mage, you should NOT be deciding between Slow or Fire Arrow. Slow is useful for both in 3rd job(Curtain and Mist). Good luck.

In the long run the best choice would be slow. It helps when using flame gears. Blaze wizards don't really need fire arrow because we have flame pillar. And as far as common sense is concerned mobbing>1v1. People max fire arrow for two different reasons. Reason A: Many maplers are under the delusion that fire arrow is better than slow (Basically they think an attack that is only used in 2nd job, an attack that has no place in a blaze wizards spell arsenal, an attack that is quickly replaced by a lvl 1 fire strike, is an attack worth maxing). Reason B: Maplers who tend to play for the fun of the game (these are a rare bunch) max fire arrow for the hell of it. Because it's fun for them. However, these maplers know full well that slow is the more practical choice in the long run. Slow not only helps with flame gears, but slow is one of those few effects that affect bosses. The last thing a BW wants is to receive touch damage from Big Foot. But with slow you don't need to worry about that. Fire arrow is used for only a short period of your Blaze wizard career, while slow lasts till lvl 120. The practical choice would be slow, but if you still want to max fire arrow for fun go ahead it won't hurt you big time. Slow was never a necessary skill, but since you have to max either slow or fire arrow at the end, it would be best to max slow because it would maximize your overall training speed.

Slow is helpful with Flame Gear, and makes you semi-useful at mobile bosses at least. Fire Arrow gets completely replaced by about 15 levels into 3rd job with a way better skill. The choice is not between Slow and Fire Arrow. If anything it should be between Medi and Fire Arrow. Medi is the least useful skill in your book besides Fire Arrow, since it will only save you 40k/hr on Wizard Elixirs. But in the long run 40k/hr > almost useless attack that gets completely replaced.

I recently learned, this thread is not regarding F/P Mages. It's in fact, based on a Cygnus Knight. Therefore, skip Fire Arrow. Max Slow. It will help plenty in 3rd job. No offense, but do not listen to 99brian99. If you want fun, add 1 into Fire Arrow now. The effects are nice, but the damage is replaced in 3rd job.

you should get 1 Poitn on FA b/c its a pretty cool skill AND you will have 1 SP left over secondly, Slow is better b/c it affects bosses, and REALLY makes running from monsters easier and its fun to watch! Slow is just more entertaining and useful than Fire Arrow FA is replaced by the 3rd job skill easily, so yeah
