2nd Job DW Skill Build

Okay so I was just curious as of what route I should go after maxing mastery. I mean most of DW skills are pretty cool and useful and I was just wondering what peoples opinions were on what skills to get after mastery. (I put my first point into Soul Blade and plan on mostly CPQing but sometimes breaking the monotony with some grinding.) A few options arise in my mind after 19 mastery: 6Booster (then one of the following 3 options) No Booster and Max Soul Blade No Booster and Max Soul Rush No Booster and 20Soul Blade, Max Soul Rush, Max Soul Blade Tell me what you think. And this isnt a poll because there could be other options that I havnt thought of. FA will definitely be last. So I think heres my build: 1 Soul Blade 19 Mastery 5 Booster Max Soul Blade Max Soul Runner 19 Rage (Soul Runner and Rage are probably interchangeable) 12 Booster Max Mastery Max FA There will be 31 points leftover after maxing everything in 3rd job except coma panic and mp recovery. 8 of those will be used to max the rest of booster leaving 23 SP left. That 23SP can be used on Coma/Panic or if you really want MP recovery Lol. Well Hopefully this helps anyone with their Dawn Warrior build. Oh and 1 point of those extra can be used to max rage. Another Point I would like to add is that the math has been shown FA increases Solo damage but decreases Mob damage. But I believe in 2nd Job FA will not activate with Soul Blade. Therefore if you do not plan on using Slash Blast, FA would probably be ideal to keep activated. Correct me if im wrong.

I used these to max booster and panic. Brandish = 30 Combo = 20 Adv combo = 20 driver = 30 charge = 20 panic = 20

Yeah but I would imagine Soul Rush would be more useful at higher levels. Versus the CPQing warriors and Lmpqing warriors ya know? Edit: So yes I would assume Brandish outdoes Coma in almost every way at the 3rd job? I like your thinking. Im strategizing my build now. Ill share it in a moment. edit2: Okay threw some things up in the thread starter.

I left out rage, maxed everything else out. Replaced rage with NLC pots. I even make some of the money back by selling them in FM for 7,999 mesos I left rage at 1 because in my book 1 and 11 are equally useless and I added the points from rage into soul of my first job. 500 damage every few seconds isn't totally useless :D Can't complain about it's range either ^^

Soul runner is way better than rage, so I would never interchange them. But other than that, the build looks fine. And you never need to use slash blast in 2nd job, at least I didn't. And no, soul blade doesn't activate FA.

tugboats : It would be worse if you were in a continuous infinite mob. I find it useful at skeles since it will 1hit the closest skele to me, which gives me more space to use soul runner. Besides, you can deactivate it when you don't want it. Also there is plenty of SP left over at the end of 3rd job that you can use to max booster. You didn't train effectively. I used soul runner like every 5 seconds at MP3. I went from level 50 to level 70 in only a few hours. Standing in one spot is slow and boring. Level 22 is worse than level 0. Either max it or get none at all. That guide is bs. Soul runner is VERY useful when leveling. The mount is nothing compared to soul runner. You get 1 SP at job advancement. Well, I thought I did train very effectively, levels 50-59 in 2 hours? Uh, and who are you to judge me? Some random dude that spends hours and hours sitting in front of a computer.

I looked at all the posts and am still wondering if i should put points in FA or not? And how do you "activate" FA do you just like press the skill or something?

IDK how to activate it but there is a way to activate and deactivate. I guess if you realllly wanted to you could get 22 FA and max it with the extra SP at third job but why get something to 22 if it wont be any good? I think FA is only good maxed. Well it comes down to booster vs FA in my mind. Id rather just recast booster a few times than waste 22 pts in FA.

The reason I chose 21 FA is I have been hearing how people don't bother casting FA at all at later levels, even when maxed. And since I can't really choose "nothing", it's either that or go back to max Iron Body and Slash Blast. I'll research more though. If anything I'll leave Booster at 11 and max FA. 19/20 Rage is personal preference.
