GodsWarningThis is something that someone I know has to deal with, so I'd like your opinion. Let's say you have a sister who, her entire life, gets help and money from you. You bring her from your home country to the US and you help her get a house and buy clothes and food. After all of this, her step daughter unexpectedly dies in a car accident. She is awarded $56,000 in court and she asks her father (your father as well) to not tell you because she doesn't want you to ask her for money. AND: She also sent you flowers one day with a card that said "The person who thinks they know everything in truth does not know anything. I hope that you may get the love and care that you deserve from your wonderful family, and I will always love you." You find this out. What do you do?

Forgiving a person means putting it behind you and never bringing it back up, if you still get mad at the person for the same thing you never forgavve them.

After asking money from me, she won't give me money back? Lol? But since it's her money, I'll deal with it then.

I wouldn't get mad. Besides, I hate asking for money :P

I wouldn't forgive her considering I have been so helping and generous towards her and she considers me a selfish person who wants her money even though I spent money on her.

Well, I tend to hold grudges, but I'd forgive her after I confronted her and she gave me a valid reason as to why she did what she did.

Gandhi says to always forgive. I will forgive her. However, her actions would be incredibly selfish and self-centered, but it is her burden to bear.

Erm, I'd forgive since we're friends and all. But I wouldn't trust her again, nor would I ever do her another favor. If she needed my help she'd be s*** outta luck. Karma can be a pain the arse sometimes. ;) Let it have it's flow.
