Hey, im doing the manu quest and im just wonder how long it takes for him to spawn and if you need to do anything in order for him to spawn. Thanks in advance

I presume you're asking about MANO, the snail boss near Lith Harbor..? I'm not sure of the exact time, but I believe it's on the order of 45 minutes for him to respawn. I don't think there's anything needed to summon him- I've been "passing through" that map and had the purple message pop up (something about a "cool breeze as Mano rises from the ooze..", or something equally as melodramatic.) If you don't see him on the map (Thicket Around the Beach III), second platform as I recall, try CCing repeatedly until you find him on a channel. Otherwise you just have to wait, or try again later. Unfortunately there are higher-level players who delight in channel surfing and killing the area bosses like Mano, over and over, which prevents anyone trying to do the boss quests from completing the quests. If you run into one of those, you're essentially screwed, and might as well go do something else until they get bored and move on.

He spawns just like any other field boss which is about 30 minutes to an hour between spawns. They usually spawn around the same time. Try channel surfing for a while until you find one or you can wait for it to spawn later. As BobR said some people like to kill Mano, but usually to get a rainbow shell.

Knowing Nexon, you'd think they'd have thought of that... you can't die doing the PQ (or soloing it), so it's hardly the same as trying to kill him on the normal map. Also- just wondering.. what good is the Rainbow Shell, except for the Pia quest..? He seems to make a big deal out of it when he asks you to get it for him, but when I got it, it didn't seem to do anything by itself.

TRy going in the middle of the night if you can. You'll have a much better chance to ch surf to find him.
