How often are Piece Of Times Found?

Okay, I've been hunting at Time Temple for quite a long time on my arch mage and i havent found any pieces of time. Does anyone have any tips on how to find some? I know you find them from monsters at time temple, and i know they are fairly rare, but i've killed 9000 (gotten to the 10th quest) and i havent found any.

Bosses drop them more often.

Transform to a dragon by talking to the halfling in the same map as the boat going from leafre to orbis. And then fly there.

They're supposed to be rare, but they have a better drop rate from bosses.
