It increases it by 2x. Hence the name, 2x Drop.

I can't see the relationship between a chaos scroll being dropped by a monster and a 2x drop rate card.

no, it doesnt work on scrolls and equips

It increases all drops by two times. This however, does not affect the amount of Mesos dropped. It affects the rate of which Mesos dropped.

i think hes referring to family 2x drop, it doesn't increase amount of mesos dropped, only the card one does

2x drop does increase the odds of getting a chaos scroll, but the odds are still extremely low. If everything I've read is correct, you effective get the drops of two kills from a single kill, it basically spins the roulette wheel twice for you.

i forgot to mention yes, im really sure that 2x drop increases your chances of scroll drop as one time, when i was hunting drum bunnies at 4x drop, i managed to get 3 chaos in 1 hr, im really sure the 4x had somthing to do with it
