So I was just in San Diego visiting my brother(lots of fun!) and I met his 15 year old neighbor(kinda). He's a really sheltered kid. His mom makes him play in the yard where she can see him. Also he isn't aloud to watch movies that are over the rating PG. I tried to hang out with him but he just kinda glared at me. I later found out he isn't really aloud to have friends because they could be a bad influence. I thought this was really sad. He seemed really nice. Anyways, what's your opinions on sheltered kids? Know any? Friends with any? Discuss.

Over sheltering is bad. As are most things in excess.

Close friends with one, and I feel bad for him, not being able to do so many things. More than that, it frustrates me that his parents get in the way of meeting up.

They're the same as any other kid.

ashesofasoul : They're the same as any other kid. I was thinking the same. I heard him talking and he sounds normal. He wanted to see the movie with the football players that go to cheer camp(I can't for the life of me think what it's called) and his mom refused to let him watch it. It's really a shame.

His mom will be sorry when he's finally out in the world and binges on everything she ever denied him. Sheltering kids like that is never good.
