I get this a lot. For one, I'm only half black. Two, you can't act ''black.'' If most act a way, it doesn't mean everyone needs to. I usually say back to them ''Is that an insult? Because you're insulting whites if it is.'' But that doesn't do anything. What else should I say to get them to stop?

Sue them for harassment. But really, not much you can do sadly. Putting up with insults is something you really have to find a way to cope with.

Just ignore them. Your race shouldnt determine how you act. Hell, appearantly most hispanic kids suck at english, yet my english is probably the best in my class.

normally they suspect black people = ghetto. Although that seems to be the case in urban settings and many places, that has become the steroetype for black people. Hence to act black is to act ghetto. And if you aren't acting ghetto, you are not acting black. I get called "the oreo" all the time since I am black but listen to death/black metal and skateboard >.> Then they call me asian because I watch anime =/
