How to upgrade items?

Well, I finally finished the quest for the Maker skill. I made a basic emerald, and I want to test it on an item. How do I add the +10 MP to an item? Thanks.

You can't add it to an item you already have. You have to make a new item, and put the Emerald in the enhancer slots.

From random information I've picked up... ...I think it's 1 gem for each maker level that it requires, so if it needs maker level 2 you can put on 2 gems, and I think only 1 of each, you can't put on 2 of the same gem.

I have lv 3 maker but i could only put 2 gems on my kings cent o-o
