Hime ETC =/= Monster Crystal?

I tried putting the Kimono Piece into the Maker skill but it gives me a window saying: You cannot use this item as an ingredient to make the Monster Crystal. Is it just me or is the etc just no good for maker?

Yeah you can't use Hime pieces in the maker skill :P my Jr's friend tried that and he couldn't and got pissed for spending 4hrs for nothing lol

You can't use etc pieces of monsters which are not in the monster book, and that includes himes. The fastest way to get monster crystals is to disassemble equips.

You can't use it in the maker skill. gMS/mSEA/anything that isn't KMS exclusive maps' etcs usually can't be used to make crystals. The NPC even says "sometimes you'll meet special monsters and you will not be able to make crystals out of them" or something along these words o_o

Sourdonut is I think correct for the drops from the monsters of MP3/boat in singapore don't work on the maker skill.

You can't make monster crystals with etc's of monsters NOT in the monster book. For example, if you have 100 windraider badge's, you can't make a monster crystal out of it
