I think a beginner's guide needs to be updated, and I've been thinking about writing this for a while. Please credit if stolen, please don't flame if the idea is thought of because I haven't seen it. (Note this guide is only for the players who are doing a job advancement.) AP=ability point SP=skill point ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Quick Beginner's guide. *AP -Mages- level 02 - 08 All AP into INT -Thiefs/Pirates/Bowman/Warrior- level 02 - 10 All AP into INT Description: There's no worries about where your ability points go before your first job advancement because maplestory gives every player a complete AP reset when beginner's get their first job. All points into INT because INT (by level) gives a player more mp as they level. Mages get their first job at level 8, every other class is level 10, from their on, choose other AP point guides to read after getting your first job. Also learn about HP washing. *SP level 01 - 03 Three Snails level 03 - 06 Nimble Feet Results, Max Three Snails/Nimble Feet & 0 Recovery Description: Since you will be putting all points into INT and not in STR, you will have a weak attack. Three Snails doesn't require the use of snail shells anymore, it just burns mp. So it is a good idea to max Three Snails because at level 3 it always does 40 damage and that is enough to get through the beginner class. Nimble Feet will be useful as a beginner because walking slow can be stressful and boring. No Recovery because there is no use for it when a beginner can use potions or stand/sit steal to heal their HP. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thank You for reading, hope it helps. -iDragonBen

That's interesting... but what about them not having mp pots on maple island? Just incase they run out~ And by the way... you know theres a forum for new players? O=

umm how about not using shell attack and do quest to level? and also standing still heals mp i think.

Ya the quests on maple island + the quest Olaf has u lvls u to 10 quickly~ what i normaly do is just use snail throw lv 1 until i get to mai's quests. Once at Mai's quests i would put snail throw up to level 3 to help with the killing~ by the time ur at mai i believe u are round lv 6-7? so then u should have more mp even if u didnt add the int~ and using the lv 1 till then saves up ur low amount of mp

It may seem as if that won't work, but MP will barely increase due to the lack of intelligence points, which assists the in the increasing of MP.
