Do Gunslingers level fast?

Like title said do gunslingers level fast?I find them pretty cool but it seem I cant get a char past 45~,best I got is a 51 brawler,idk why but from 40+ I find it long and boring,any tip to help me lvl?

Well, its acually quite bad in the beginning to get into a PQ. People treat them like dirt (as koillu was saying) ESPECIALLY in CPQ saying "You suck..even I can do more damage than you.." and they tend to not pick you or kick you out of a party. But later on, I guess later on in the 3rd to 4th job, its much faster.

I lvled my 'slinger really fast actually. Just 125+ is pretty slow for me, but oh well.

CPQ, EPQ, LPQ etc. Search for some quests that give you some nice xp.

Well today, I beat my old record of a lv 48 char and got one to 49 on my slinger, theyre fun.

Yes. It friggin sucks to level a gunslinger in the earlier levels. Noone wants you for anything. CPQ? A level 30 dexless can probably outdamage you at level 50. Slingers are always picked on because other players don't understand that we chose speed over power. You see us hit 120s in earlier levels, but you dont see that we hit the monster for a few shots before another player has time to hit it once. Now, the game has morphed to where damage is everything, not about the people. I like my slinger, even though he may have low damage, i play him because i like to float around and do backflips and stuff. Things like recoil shot and wings make it awesome for me to play my slinger in second job, and to be honest I cant wait for third. OCTOPUS! Wooo, some may say it sucks, but c'mon 8legs>4 and the birdy seems like fun too. -reads over actual question- They are slow in the early levels because slingers are neglected for their numbers (damage.) I'm still trying to make it to 70, but im totally enjoying floating around everywhere :D

Ehh. It's kinda slow. 30-50 are pretty easy because of cpq. But if you plan on actually training, it will take awhile. Soon as you hit 70, however, everything speeds up.
